What is a betting system?
A betting system is a strategic plan that is made to maximize the player’s chances of winning more bets.

Types of betting system.

Positive progression betting system – A fairly popular system which involves the gambler to increase their bet after every win. You do not require a big bankroll to start off with which explains it popularity.

Negative progression betting system – This system involves the gambler to increase their betting stake after every losing bet expecting to make back what they have already lost in a single bet. This betting system is considered a high risk system as it requires a larger bankroll.

Martingale betting system / martingale betting strategy – The martingale betting system is one of the oldest systems around.
This betting system involves the gambler to double their stake after every losing bet. This is so the first win will recover all previous losses and the gambler will win a profit equal to their original stake.
The martingale system will only work when the odds are 50/50.
Here is an example of the martingale betting system:
Your first stake is £5, you place your bet and win. As the odds are 50/50 your return is £10. Now you place another bet with the same stake as before (£5) and lets say you lose. You will now have to double your stake to get back any losses and make a profit. So your stake is now £10, you bet and lose again. Now your stake has to be doubled again to £20 this will keep on happening until you win your bet. Once you win you will start at a £5 stake again. Whatever the win is you will only make a profit the same as your starting stake.
